Becoming a Member
ruler

It is easy to become a Member of Macquarie Credit Union, there are four simple steps.

  1. Complete the application form below
Remember to sign and date the back of the form.
  2. Have your identification sighted and certified
Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006, all new members must have their ID copied & certified. Below is a Certification form which lists the acceptable types of identification which can be used. If posting in your application you will need to have someone CERTIFY your original Identification Documents and they will need to complete the CERTIFICATION FORM. This form also lists the categories of people who can certify your documents, eg: a Justice of the Peace. Note: Faxed Documents cannot be accepted as we need an original of your signature.
  3. Pay a $10 share
To open the account, there is a $10 membership share, this can be paid by either money order or cheque (it is fully redeemable if you ever decide to close your account). This share is your piece of the Credit Union, this gives you the right to vote on all Credit Union matters.
  4. Mail the forms to us
    Macquarie Credit Union
    PO BOX 1618
    Dubbo NSW 2830

Once these forms have been received a Member Service Officer will contact you regarding your membership details.

Of course, if you are interested in opening a joint account, additional information will be required. Please contact one of our Member Service Officers.
